G30 Wireless Keyboard Remote Control with 10 Metre Range and 2.4GHz Connectivity

This G30 wireless keyboard remote control combines traditional remote functions with full QWERTY typing capability for modern smart TVs, streaming devices, and media centres. Operating on the 2.4GHz frequency band between 2400-2483.5MHz, it provides reliable wireless communication up to 10 metres away from the connected device. The integrated design includes both keyboard buttons for text entry and a touchpad area for mouse-like navigation, eliminating the need for multiple controllers. With power supplied by two standard AAA batteries and a working current draw under 15mA, this remote offers practical battery efficiency alongside its extended control capabilities.

Technical Specifications and Performance

The G30's technical profile supports everyday home entertainment use with measured power consumption and wireless range specifications that match common living room setups.

Wireless Connectivity and Range

Operating within the 2.4GHz frequency range of 2400-2483.5MHz, this remote establishes stable connections with compatible devices through its included nano receiver. The stated 10-metre operational distance allows movement throughout typical room sizes while maintaining control functionality. This wireless band selection helps avoid interference with common household devices that may operate on different frequencies.

Power Efficiency and Battery Use

With a working current measurement under 15mA and standby current below 20μA, the G30 remote maintains low power consumption during active use and minimal drain when idle. This efficiency extends battery life from the two required AAA cells, reducing replacement frequency compared to higher-drain alternatives. The 3.0V operating voltage matches standard alkaline battery specifications for straightforward power management.

Complete Package Contents

Each purchase includes the G30 Air Mouse remote control unit itself, plus the necessary nano receiver for wireless pairing with compatible devices. A printed user manual provides setup guidance and operational instructions for connecting to various smart TVs, streaming boxes, and media players that support USB receiver connectivity.

Design Features and Physical Layout

The G30's physical design prioritises both typing convenience and traditional remote functions within a single handheld unit suitable for living room use.

Integrated Keyboard and Touchpad

Beyond standard remote buttons, this unit incorporates a complete QWERTY keyboard layout for text entry when searching content, entering passwords, or composing messages on connected devices. The integrated touchpad area functions as a mouse controller for precise on-screen navigation, scrolling through menus, and selecting options without directional button limitations.

Button Layout and Media Controls

Dedicated media control buttons provide instant access to playback functions including play/pause, volume adjustment, and media navigation. The button arrangement follows intuitive placement conventions with commonly used functions positioned for thumb access during handheld operation. Rubberised button surfaces offer tactile differentiation between key types during use.

Construction and Finish Details

Constructed from standard plastic materials, the remote maintains lightweight portability while housing the necessary electronic components. The black finish provides neutral aesthetics that blend with various home entertainment setups, while the overall dimensions follow handheld remote conventions for comfortable single-hand operation during extended viewing sessions.

Practical Applications and Compatibility

This wireless remote addresses specific control challenges in modern home entertainment environments where traditional remotes lack text input capabilities.

Smart TV and Streaming Device Control

The G30 remote proves particularly useful for smart TV platforms requiring text input for search functions, application login, and content browsing. Streaming devices from manufacturers like Amazon, Roku, Google, and Apple often benefit from keyboard input when searching across extensive content libraries, with the 10-metre range allowing comfortable couch-to-TV distance.

Home Office and Presentation Use

Beyond entertainment applications, this remote can function as a compact wireless keyboard for small presentations or basic computer navigation when paired with compatible systems. The touchpad mouse control enables cursor movement without requiring a separate input device, creating a minimal setup for basic computing tasks in living spaces or meeting areas.

Accessibility and Alternative Input

For users who find traditional remote navigation challenging, the keyboard and touchpad combination offers alternative input methods that may prove more intuitive than directional button systems. The extended range also benefits users with mobility considerations who need to control devices from varying positions within a room.
